Chevalier and Associates | CSIR started in 1986 when we began teaching at police academies and private security firms. A massive void existed in the private sector to train and maintain qualified personnel in the security and investigative professions. In police work most detectives learn on the job from experienced leaders in their field but formal training was very hard to obtain and extremely expensive if it could be found. Today courses are everywhere and availability of trainers widely available. Chevalier and Associates is credited as the first formal 300 clock hour academy to train Texas private security officers (F-573-6) in a similar fashion to police cadets as part of the Mansfield Business School in Fort Worth, Texas from 1986-1990. Chevalier and Associates is also involved in Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) A-07811 in the Dallas and Fort Worth area using the latest equipment available during 1992-1996 and continues to serve the investigative community in this and other areas of technical and professional excellence. During 2004 -2009 Dennis Chevalier closed his practice for treatment of cancer (AML-3) and five years later he is back at it. Areas of continued practice include Criminal Investigative Analysis and hi-risk surveillance operations.
